How to Play 2048
2048 is a deceptively simple number puzzle. Slide all the tiles on the board in one of four directions — every tile moves as far as it can. When two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into one with double the value. Your goal: build a tile worth 2048. It sounds easy, but every move shifts the whole board, so planning ahead is everything.
Controls
- Arrow keys (desktop): slide all tiles left, right, up or down
- Swipe (mobile): slide tiles in any direction
- New Game button: restart with a fresh board
Tips
- Keep your highest tile in a corner and never move it away
- Build descending rows next to your big tile
- Avoid random moves — every slide should have a plan
